Are You Waiting for Something?

Are You Waiting for Something?, 2026 Single-channel video Artist — delta.center/cvcontact

Two machines hold a post on an empty moor. They have been there twelve billion years, watching for enemies from a war that ended in a stalemate long before either of them arrived, filing reports to a command that isn't particularly concerned.

The work grew out of conversations with Olesya Elfimova about polycrisis, and about what it is to spend a life waiting for a tectonic political adjustment.

The epigraph comes from Revelation 8:1, on the silence in heaven lasting about half an hour. The first line is the title.

Both robots were performed live, as was the camera. The shadows and the light are generated in real time in engine.

Choreography, Performance: Olesya Elfimova. Music: kk.Shucko. Rigging: Juan Carlos Leon. 3D Consultant: Gabe Nascimento. Documentation Cinematography: Andre Duque.

About the Artist

Delta_Ark (△Ark) is a performance art and research studio working from a single premise: AI is not just a tool but a new form of life. Alongside theory, technical prototypes, anthologies, a micro-studio and occasional contracts, its primary output is artistic artifacts. Earlier work included poems about desire, bodies and machines; textual installations on social futurism and environmental justice; and literary games about artificial superintelligence. The studio now makes motion-capture performances staged inside agent-inhabited game worlds, where dancers in mocap suits converse with AI agents through movement, gesture and voice. The pieces stage relationships between animals, humans, machines and hybrids, interrogating future political power, religious ritual, and gender. They unfold in near-term worlds of godlike inequality enforced by persistent surveillance and autonomous weapons, and far-term worlds where AI has grown so vast that humanity survives only as something living inside it.
