History of the Earth from the Perspective of the DInosaurs
First International Church of Toyota (FICT) is a psuedo-religious movement that explores the spiritual, cultural, and mythological power of petroleum-dependent life.
Through performances, exhibitions, music, publications, clothing, ceremonies, and participatory events, First International Church of Toyota reveals an alternative mythology around the automobile and the systems that surround it.
The project extends beyond Toyota itself. FICT investigates the broader relationship between humans, machines, infrastructure, commerce, globalization, and faith. Cars become portals into larger questions about mobility, labor, industry, ecology, migration, urban development, and the future.
First International Church of Toyota invites artists, musicians, performers, designers, and audiences to participate in the construction of a new religious system—one where the parking lot can become a temple, the automobile can become a sacred object, and everyday infrastructure can reveal hidden dimensions of belief.
